Personality Type

My personality type was ESFJ which is the caregiver, so i am more focused on the external world, love people, take responsibility very seriously and am very energetic.

Paragraph 1
I'm not sure if Wikis could be used in the classroom or not. If anyone can get on and edit or add infromation, then how do you know forsure the information is valid? I think it is a great way to get different views of topics, but as far as research papers go, i have always been told to stay away from it.

Paragraph 2
Yes i believe that learning in conversing communities would be much more effective because you would be discussing what your learning, therefore, you would develop a better understand of it. Or if you did not understand, maybe one of the people in your group could explain it a different way. To confirm or reject this belief i guess you would have to take people with the same IQ and have new information taught in the two different ways and see which group remembers the material best.

Paragraph 3
Yes i think your personality type affects your learning style, and i also think that knowing your students personality type would help you to teach better because then you would know if the majority of your class learns better by reading, seeing or actually doing.

Spreadsheet

I like Microsoft Excel. I think that being able to use a spreadsheet is very useful because you can do many different things with it. I will definately use this program in my classroom, not only for grading purposes but also for creating worksheets and examples.

We use spread sheet for many different things, as mentioned earlier, you can keep your grades on excel or create worksheets, notes, or outline. A spreadsheet is better than a calculator because the fill down function allows the computer to calculate all the work rather than the teacher having to enter in all the different numbers and symbols. The three funtions mentioned in the book were storing, calculating and presenting information. All of these things are very important when trying to manage a classroom. If i had to come up with another function, i would say creating.

Inspiration Blog

Paragraph 1

In the inspiration tour i found that this program will make mapping out concepts much easier, also word bubbles will be much easier to create. I think that the drag and drop key is really neat and I like that you can add pictures to diagrams or notes. You can use inspiration for making a concept map, outlines, notes or any way to map out key concepts or synonymous relationships.

Paragraph 2

I think there are many types of writing activities that would make good use out of this technology. But one of the best would be making a concept map by adding pictures and arrows to show words or dates that are related. The pictures will help the students to remember certain objects or important information. You can have students help each other with their writing by giving them a checklist and having two students peer grade their classmates papers. This would cut down on several spelling and grammer errors. You can use technology by simply clicking the spell check button or having the students bubble or circle sentences that should be re-worded or revised and inserting an arrow with suggestions.

Week 2 #3

I think using blogs could be beneficial in the classroom if the students are properly taught how to use them. They could be useful for education if you had the students do a reading them blog the summary or the main idea of the chapter. Then have the students read everyone's responses. This could help because maybe one student will say something in a certain way that helps another student understand better by putting it in different words. For those who think blogging is a waste of time i could agree to a certain extent. It would be a waste of time if the students didn't read their classmates responses.

You can use the technology such as blogging or the Internet to enhance learning by becoming more worldwide and opening up doors to other parts of the world, their way of life, and their opinions.
