Inspiration Blog

Paragraph 1

In the inspiration tour i found that this program will make mapping out concepts much easier, also word bubbles will be much easier to create. I think that the drag and drop key is really neat and I like that you can add pictures to diagrams or notes. You can use inspiration for making a concept map, outlines, notes or any way to map out key concepts or synonymous relationships.

Paragraph 2

I think there are many types of writing activities that would make good use out of this technology. But one of the best would be making a concept map by adding pictures and arrows to show words or dates that are related. The pictures will help the students to remember certain objects or important information. You can have students help each other with their writing by giving them a checklist and having two students peer grade their classmates papers. This would cut down on several spelling and grammer errors. You can use technology by simply clicking the spell check button or having the students bubble or circle sentences that should be re-worded or revised and inserting an arrow with suggestions.

This concept is great for teachers to use to be able show the students the same information in a new way. It teaches in a better way so that students can understand what we are trying to teach them.

I agree. I think students learn better on a more interactive, hands on basis. At least, I know I would have enjoyed outlining a lot more if I had been able to use Inspiration! Also, I think the lesson planning will give us as teachers an edge when it comes to being prepared with any obstacles the students might face.

I agree with shalane that it is a new way to show kids the same information. I think it would keep the kids more interested in the topic and may cut down on all the disruptions that you would have when a teachers back is to the class. And the auto spell check is a great thing because I for one am not a great speller and it cuts down on the time to find the spell check button.

I agree i believe that inspiration will benifit student and teacher. What the teacher does not have time to answer inspiration can help them out to find out the answer to whatever question they have. Also, the teacher can have more time to do more grading or whatever else that needs to be done.

I enjoyed reading your blog about the different activities that you would use to enhance the student's writing abilities during the writing process. I think that the writing process is a very impoartant skill that every student shold have. I'm not an English major, but a theatre major for playwirghting. Therfore, the brainstorming techniques that "Inspiration" will give will enhance how the student can use their creative imagination to create a wonderfuland entertaining paper. Think you for your ideas for writing activities.

Your right, pictures will helo students remember certain things, i know thats how i remember alot of things is from pictures or just seeing it up on the board. I also like yoiur idea of letting students frade other students papers, but be aware of those cheaters haha
